AWE alumni shine at Women’s Entrepreneurship Expo 2022

Our AWE alumni shone this weekend at the annual Women’s Entrepreneurship Expo 2022 hosted by the United States Mission to South Africa and AWIEF.

This year’s expo, which took place on 3 December 2022 at Market@TheSheds as part of a first-of-its-kind entrepreneurship day in the City of Tshwane, featured 30 graduates from the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE), a program run in South Africa by the United States Mission to South Africa and AWIEF and which empowers young women with the knowledge and skills they need to own and manage successful businesses.

The young entrepreneurs grabbed the opportunity to showcase and sell their products and services, connect with shoppers (and one another) and enjoy the market’s lively atmosphere and a fantastic line-up of music
