Winners of AWIEF Awards 2023 Announced as FIFA Secretary General Fatma Samoura Receives Inaugural AWIEF Lifetime Leadership Award

The Africa Women Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum (AWIEF) is delighted to announce the winners of our 2023 AWIEF Awards.

Launched in 2017, the prestigious annual AWIEF Awards is an initiative to recognise, honour, and celebrate women entrepreneurs and business owners in Africa across various industry sectors for their achievements and contribution to the continent’s inclusive economic growth and social development.

The 2023 AWIEF Awards winners were celebrated at a special ceremony and gala dinner at the AWIEF2023 Conference and Awards at the Kigali Convention Centre, Rwanda, where Fifa Secretary General, Fatma Samoura, was also awarded the inaugural AWIEF Lifetime Leadership Award.

The winners of the 2022 AWIEF Awards were announced at a glittering ceremony on the rooftop of the Nile Ritz-Carlton, Cairo, Egypt.

The awards ceremony and gala dinner capped the two-day #AWIEF2022 Conference, which was held in North Africa for the first time.

The prestigious annual AWIEF Awards recognise, honour, and celebrate women entrepreneurs and business owners in Africa across various industry sectors for their achievements and contribution to the continent’s inclusive economic growth and social development.

These outstanding women entrepreneurs and business leaders represent companies from a diverse range of sectors and operating in six different African countries.
