Victoria’s Secret & Co. Partners with AWIEF on The Tour Impact Fund

We are immensely proud, excited and honored to announce that global brand Victoria’s Secret & Co. has partnered with AWIEF as it launches The Tour Impact Fund, to drive gender equality in the arts and advance economic empowerment. The Tour Impact Fund is an integral part of TheTour’23, Victoria’s Secret 2023 special fashion show and celebration set to debut on Amazon Prime on 26 September.

Through this initiative, AWIEF joins three other partner organizations selected from across the world: Japan Institute for Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship (Japan); Fundacion ArteSumapaz (Colombia); and KUTA Arts Foundation (Nigeria). The main objectives of The Tour Impact Fund are to:

  • Advance the opportunities available to and success of women entrepreneurs, by empowering and equipping women founders and business owners with the resources and opportunities they need to sustainably grow and scale their businesses.
  • Create opportunities for emerging women artists: Recognizing the importance of nurturing creativity and aiming to provide emerging women artists with platforms to showcase their talents and flourish in the art industry.

“We believe in the power of women entrepreneurs and artists to drive positive change in society,” said Christy Tostevin, Senior Vice President of Community Relations at Victoria’s Secret & Co. “With The Tour Impact Fund, we’re dedicated to advancing gender equality and amplifying women’s voices worldwide. We aim to drive meaningful change and support organizations that share our vision of a more inclusive and empowered world.”

As one of the partner organizations for The Tour Impact Fund, AWIEF is going to roll out in Nigeria its flagship Growth Accelerator, a seven-month investment readiness program to support twenty early- and growth-stage women-owned and women-led businesses from different sectors, preparing them to be investor ready and facilitate access to funding and investment opportunities for scaling.

This partnership with Victoria’s Secret & Co. will accelerate AWIEF’s core mission, to foster women’s economic inclusion, advancement, and empowerment through the support and development of women-led businesses. Our association with such a globally renowned brand for The Tour Impact Fund is a true testament to AWIEF’s impactful work within the women economic empowerment and entrepreneurship space in Africa.

Acclaimed actress, producer, and entrepreneur Priyanka Chopra Jonas will be an ambassador to The Fund partner organisations, serving as a mentor and advocate for women artists and entrepreneurs.

“Real progress in gender equity requires collective action across the public and private sectors,” said Chopra Jonas. “Companies and individuals with large platforms must play a more significant role in shining a light on and addressing barriers. I’m delighted to join Victoria’s Secret in advancing our shared commitment to gender equality.”
