2020 AWIEF Lifetime Achievement Award winner Daisy Mmabatho Molefhi is the founder and Vice-Chancellor of ABM University College, a private tertiary education institution in Botswana which strives to demonstrate transformational education channelled through the principles of entrepreneurship, leadership and moral development.

Daisy’s business acumen spans over three decades, mentoring many individuals and businesses in the area of entrepreneurship and leadership. Her leadership in the Botswana private sector includes serving as Vice-President of Business Botswana and Chairperson of its Private Education Sector.

MARGARET HIRSCH

Executive Director | Hirsch’s Group | South Africa

Margaret Hirsch is the Executive Director of the Hirsch’s Group, the largest independently owned Appliance and Electronics retail outlet in Southern Africa.

Margaret has been heavily involved with Women and Youth Empowerment projects throughout Southern Africa for many years. She is passionate about women in business and entrepreneurship and runs networking clubs at all her branches.

She is the recipient of many international and local awards for her business, social and charitable work, including the AWIEF Lifetime Achievement in 2021.

“I found the 2022 AWIEF Awards to be of a very high calibre. The judging was very difficult because they were all so unique in their own special way. Some really stood out from the rest. What I looked for were women who are not only running a successful business but who are helping other women to grow as well.”

DR NEVINE ABDELKHALEK

Dean |Country Support | School of Continuing Education | Nile University | Egypt

Dr. Nevine Abdelkhalek is Dean of the School of Continuing Education at Nile University.

She is also a board member of TeaComputers and Hope Village Society  as well as  the Egyptian Businessmen’s Association (EBA) and Chairperson of EBA’s Sustainable Development Committee.

Dr Abdelkhalek holds a charter manager status with the Charter Management Institute in the UK, a PhD in Human Resources focusing on an Integrated leadership Development Program and has a vast experience in the field of Education for Development and Continuing Education.

AKUZIKE KAFWAMBA

Country Manager | Business Partners International | Malawi

Akuzike Kafwamba has over 14 years of experience in banking and finance.

He is currently the Country Manager at Business Partners International Malawi, a 100% subsidiary of BUSINESS/PARTNERS Limited of South Africa, a Public Unlisted risk finance company specializing in business funding, venture capital and property investments.

Akuzike has worked in Malawi’s mainstream financial services sector with both local and international banks, garnering knowledge and experience in Retail Banking, Business Banking, SME Banking, Trade and Structured Finance and Corporate Finance.
